Thank you for holding this giveaway!

I've had a hard time choosing my favourite post since I found your blog through the Sketchbook Challenge site. I think it is your tutorial "Creating Depth and Space pt3 Color and Value" from June.

I'd like to see more tutorials, but I also love your sketch-a-day series and anything you write about fabric and quilting.

I have enjoyed the sketch a day. Also liked the tutorial on journal covers. That was a "duh" moment as I do them and they are considerably more complicated!

I suppose I should like more tutorials but I am open to what comes.

Favorites change from day to day if not more often. Life gets in the way of doing what I would like so I enjoy seeing others do it.

I really like the frog one, but the sketch a days have meant a lot. They have taught me that e ery activity doesn't have to be "finished" to be important. I love Art and Quilt" because of the way you teach.

Tutorials, especially about media and other essential products would be my choice of direction.

Oh I LOVE the Citra=solve post. My Mom died 5/31. I'm an only child so the responsibility of cleaning out/staging/selling her home of 55+ years falls to me. It's been incredibly hard. I've been working in her bedroom trying to be an automiton removing my emotional self, looking at things and just thinking "toss" or "donate". The other day I had a box of white buttons and tiny safety pins. I hesitiated for a moment…then tossed. I couldn't sleep. I had to go through the trash. I felt compelled. Then I got an idea to use a vintage picture of her and make an art quilt. The buttons, tiney safety pins and other ephemera I reovered will be crucial. I've decided to do a series of art quilts: one of my Mom, one of my Dad and one of their wedding picture. The citraaolve post and the current give away (if I'm lucky enough to win) dovetail perfectly.

Thanks for the opportunity to win.

I don't think you should change your blog…I like the mix of technique/inspiration/personal chat.

Loved the book cover tute as well as the tutes about photoshop elements and citrasolv. I would love to see more about photoshop elements and thermofax and silk screening. my favorite is Artist spotlight when you interviewed melanie testa. I love her work and started following her on facebook and her blog. i love seeing other artists spotlighted. I have really enjoyed your posts and find inspiration for my own work by seeing and hearing how other artists keep pushing themselves and show no fear. I do already have the sample platter and learned so much from it. It has helped me to really grow as an artist. I have a long way to go, but I am on my way.

    Hi Lyric,
I can't pin it down to which blog post I like best. The fact is I have been a follower of yours for a long time because I too believe strongly in building a foundation for all arts on elements and principles. This gives us all (children to adult) a common ground for discussion, appreciation, exploration etc. etc. Your articles and book illustrate these concepts so well. I took your course through Quilt University and loved it. Please keep going with the tutorials. Kathy

My favorite post is the painted shoe tutorial. Comfortable shoes are a must for me and when I find a great pair I wear them until they look ugly. I followed the tutorial and ended up with a great, fun pair of shoes that were great looking again. I have to say that in the future I would love to see more tutorials of any kind. I was a traditional quilter (still kind of am) for quite a while until I discovered art quilts, surface design, etc. I'm loving it all! Thanks for the opportunity to win the great prizes.

I love your creative tutorials. So important with our economy such as it is! I love the visual stimulation you give by showing us pieces of art to drool over!
