At this time of year Christians celebrate the birth of one who lived a life of service and love. I would like to take time to follow His example. I will take time to tell my family I love them, to hug and snuggle and play and read with my children and my spouse. I will look outside of my home and see who needs help in my own community. I will do what I can outside of my community to help in whatever way I can.
Personally I don’t think it matters what religion you practice or if you practice none at all. We are here to make the world a better place, to bring it goodness and beauty. We can, we must, do whatever we can, wherever we are. It doesn’t need to be anything large and monumental. Even a small candle can bring light to a dark place.
