Road Trip Day 20-22: more driving

August 20, 2013

Heading East. On the way home. To be honest there weren’t any good pictures of Nebraska. We stopped for a day of family time and fun at the Field Museum in Chicago. It is a very long drive from Utah to North Carolina. It will be good to be home and then we can return you to your regularly scheduled program.

So glad you are back in town. The additional studio space sounds lovely… lucky you. It will broaden your vistas and give you some space of your own. Looking forward to Blowing Rock in November! Have fun in Houston… would love to go some year soon.

Did you get to see the mummies in the basement at the Field Museum? My favorite Museum ever–it has been years since I have been back home to Chicago—hope the ‘residents’ are still down there. P.S. We at Quilters Annon in Edmonds Washington really enjoyed your visit. Highly recommend guilds have you visit!

Wow, Lyric! I just took the tour through your road trip… you got some wonderful pix along the way! Sounds like you had a great time, but I’ll bet it’s good to be home! BTW, your order is in the mail…

Audio books were made for traveling across Nebraska. We’ve driven it many times between CO and MN. Aren’t those parks spectacular and almost in my backyard.

I know some people have mixed feelings about wind turbines – myself included – but your picture of them is great. It must be something to drive up close to them. Are they noisy? Take care, Byrd
