Over Christmas when my grown daughter was visiting we looked around for something to do and found Historic Yates Mill County Park. In all the years we’ve lived here in NC we had yet to visit so off we went.
The restored site houses a functioning grain mill, in place for over 200 years.
And lots of mill stones.
And some pretty places to take pictures of teenagers who really don’t want to have their pictures taken. I’m going to have to go again in March when they open the gate and demonstrate how the mill works. Sound recordings might happen. We’ll see.
